A unique past. A vibrant present. An exciting future.
May the Lord give you peace!
It is my pleasure to welcome you to St. Lawrence Seminary High School. We are a Catholic, residential, college preparatory high school operated by the Capuchin Franciscans of the Province of St. Joseph. Founded in 1860 as the Convent Latin School by two Swiss diocesan priests, who were inspired to establish the Capuchin Order in North America, St. Lawrence Seminary rose from its humble beginnings to become the strong, vibrant institution of learning and formation that it is today.
Our mission is to provide each student with the education that will help them succeed in college and prepare them for a life of service, whether as a priest, religious or layperson. Our programs are aimed at the holistic formation of the individual, addressing the spiritual, intellectual, social and personal aspects of their being.
For over 160 years, St. Lawrence Seminary High School has provided students from across the United States and around the world a nurturing environment in which they can grow and mature into well-rounded men of faith, heralds of the Gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ, leaders in the Church and society, and perhaps even saints.
As you explore our website to learn more about St. Lawrence Seminary High School, I also invite you to come and visit our campus, meet the members of our faculty and staff, our students and discover how you and your son can be part of this wonderful and time-honored tradition.
May the Lord bless you.
Fr. Zoy Garibay, OFM Cap.
