What We Are Asking You To Do

We are asking you to give a talk to your parish promoting St. Lawrence Seminary High School. Use the talking points below as a guide for your address.  After the talk, send an email to the interested students using the provided script on this page. You can copy and paste the text or download it to your device. Please fill out the form at the bottom of the page to let us know who you have referred to the school. If you wish to have marketing materials to distribute to the community, please contact Francisco Sauceda in the admissions office.

Talking Points

St. Lawrence Seminary High School is a private, Catholic, seven-day residential school for young men, founded in 1860 by Capuchin Franciscans. It is a community and institution that exists to promote, foster, and live principles proclaimed in the Gospel of Jesus Christ and articulated in the Roman Catholic Church.

DOES EVERYONE WHO GOES TO ST. LAWRENCE BECOME A PRIEST?

No. St. Lawrence is a minor seminary. As such, its mission is to provide an opportunity for young Catholic men in high school to lay a foundation on which they can build a life of ministry in the Catholic Church as laymen, deacons, brothers or priests.

All of the students at St. Lawrence Seminary are Catholic.

Strive to have a diverse student body, students come from 5 different countries and 18 different states within the U.S.

Financial Aid is available to all domestic families.  St. Lawrence Seminary has never turned a family away due to finances.

Coming up on a weekend visit is the best way to see if St. Lawrence Seminary is right for you.

It doesn’t cost anything to come on a visit, and it gives you a chance to see the school for yourself.
