Our mission calls us to provide a holistic, outstanding, Catholic, college preparatory education to qualified young men with their own unique gifts, perspectives and experiences regardless of their family’s financial circumstances.
Financial aid is available to all U.S. families who demonstrate a financial need. While amounts vary, more than 88% of our students receive some form of financial aid.
Financial Aid Process
Any accepted U.S. student can apply for financial aid. Once accepted, families will receive a financial aid information packet and are encouraged to participate in conversations about investing in a St. Lawrence education. Choosing whether to apply for financial aid is ultimately a family decision. Financial aid applications are submitted online to an independent firm, which reviews both the completed application and any supporting, required information including:
• Electronic copies of your previous year’s tax forms (1040, 1099, W-2)
• Social Security Numbers
• Federal Tax return of both parents
It typically takes six to eight weeks for the independent firm to review the completed applications. The results are then reviewed by the St. Lawrence Seminary Business Office, which determines the amount of aid available for the student. Once this step is finished, the Business Office contacts the family with the results.
Tuition Payments
Various payment plans are available: while international families can decide to make one or two payments, domestic families can choose to make payments in one, two, four or 10 installments. Payment can be made by cash, check, credit card/debit card or wire transfer.
St. Lawrence also partners with Smart Tuition for processing tuition and fees, providing payment plans, accessing online account balances, payment receipts and reminders.
